The Federal Occupational code indicates the primary occupation grouping to which a job title is assigned for reporting purposes, as defined by the Federal Government and used by Office of the President in their Corporate Personnel System. This table translates two of the data fields found in the Job Title Code (CTLTCI) table: the one-character FOC code as well as the two-character FOC Sub-Category Code.
There are 2 levels of code interpretation, with level 2 being more detailed.
Note: For academic job titles there is only one level of code
interpretation. The data comes from the Office
of the President Corporate Personnel System Data Dictionary. This entity will be manually
maintained.
