Construction Stage

The information system and the data structures which it will utilize are created. The deliverable of this stage is referred to as an implementable module (IM). In addition, the implementation plans, operational documentation and operational training for the implementable module are created in this stage. The unit of work represented by this stage is referred to as a construction project.

Stage Scope : A module defined by a design project.

Stage Input : Single information system design.

Stage Tasks :

A5.1 Construct computing environment

A5.2 Prepare development procedures and conventions

A5.3 Establish database environment

A5.4 Generate implementable module

A5.5 Generate test data and system documents

A5.6 Finalize implementation plan

A5.7 Perform integration tests

A5.8 Perform system tests

A5.9 Perform benchmark tests

A5.10 Perform acceptance tests

Stage Output : Single, tested Implementable Module; with all documentation and training completed.
