Design Stage

The business and technology designs of the information system and its supporting data structures are performed. The primary deliverable is referred to as a system design. An additional deliverable of this stage is the first-cut information system implementation and training plans as well as the continued materialization of the information system documentation. The deliverables of this stage are collectively known as the information system design. The unit of work which produces these deliverables is known as the design project.

Stage Scope : A design area defined by an Analysis Project.

Stage Input : Single set of business requirements expressed in models and supporting narrative.
