The UCD Application Development Methodology contains eleven stages. They are:
1.0 Enterprise Planning Stage
2.0 Initiate Stage
3.0 Analysis Stage
4.0 Design Stage
5.0 Construction Stage
6.0 Implement Stage
7.0 Post Implementation Stage
8.0 System Maintenance
Many of these stages may be eliminated for Rapid Application Development. Rapid Application Development has only three stages. They are numbered 10-12 to avoid numbering confusion with the complete ADM stages.
10. RAD: Requirements Planning Stage
11. RAD: User Design Stage
12. RAD: Rapid Construction Stage
Each of the stages consists of one or more Tasks . The tasks describe what is to be performed in the pursuit of the stage's objectives. The tasks are frequently composed of steps.
