* Gather information from project participants. Their are two general types of participants of interest to the assessment process. The technical team - analysts, modelers, designers and programmers are likely to provide information about the techniques and tools employed in the project. They will have formed opinions about their relative strengths and weaknesses as well as the obstacles encountered. The business persons will have observed the impact of some of the same techniques and tools on the project's deliverables and user community. They are likely to have opinions about the overall usefulness of some of those techniques. They will also have subjective opinions about the usability of the developed system.
