Application Development
- Mission Statement
- The mission of Application Development is
to provide central computing support for several of the mission-critical
business systems on campus. This includes the Student Information System
with its supporting Data Warehouse and the Payroll/Personnel Data Warehouse
with its web-based PPS Decision Support reporting system. This team also
provides support for central administrative offices of Payroll, Human
Resources and Office of the Provost.
- Student Information Systems
- Provides software development and project management for the systems which support the
underlying administrative processes related to a student's career.
- Payroll & Personnel Systems (PPS)
- Develops and maintains the local PPS Data Warehouse and web-based reporting
system known as PPS Decision Support.
- Campus Data Warehouse
- Develops and maintains the Campus Data Warehouse and web-based reporting
system known as SIS Decision Support.
- Project Management
- Serves as a resource for project managers within Information and Educational Technology
(IET) and across campus.
- Middleware Support
- Collaborates with other campus groups to create middleware that meets critical
campus infrastructure needs. Middleware is the "glue" between systems,
connecting applications on a network.
